The Power of Simple Life Changes to Prevent Heart Disease – New York Times

Aaron E. Carrol’s article on Heart disease talks about how research has shown that despite heart disease being a very genetically orientated disease there are simple lifestyle switches that can be made to combat the number 1 killer in the US.

The article lists the changes in lifestyle that can dramatically reduce the risk of getting the disease and includes several findings from the studies. One shocking statistic included in the article is that those with an unfavourable lifestyle had a risk that was 71 to 121 percent higher than those with a favourable lifestyle.
