The number of vegans in the UK has risen by 350% – The Guardian

A Guardian article on the rise of veganism in the UK.

Key statistics:

In 2006, 150,000 people in the UK opted for a plant-based diet. Today, 542,000 do.

Close to half of all vegans are aged 15-34 (42%), compared with just 14% who are over 65.

The article contains interviews from vegans about why they got into being  vegan, how they are perceived and what benefits they get from it. An interesting article if you are considering veganism or just want to learn more about it.
