As Obesity Rises, Remote Pacific Isalnds Plan to Abandon junk food – New York Times

Another great article from the New York times on Vanuatu and how they have banned imported food items to try and tackle obesity in their country. A radical strategy and an insight into what Western countries could do if big food and drinks corporations did hold such great political power. The scale of the problem is truly staggering especially when you consider the relatively low average earnings of the country. Clearly most of this is going on imported junk food.
